Good news for Adobe Falls – Thanks to the efforts of Councilmember Scott Sherman’s office and City of San Diego Park and Recreation Open Space Division management staff, the Urban Corps started work on Wednesday, February 22nd to perform some habitat restoration at Adobe Falls Open Space off Adobe Falls Road. The project will involve removing invasive non-native tree and plant species that include Brazilian Pepper and Arundo donax (looks like bamboo) as well as other invasive species. After the invasive plant species are removed and treated with herbicide, native plant and tree species will be installed.
This is very good news and we will keep tabs on the progress and results!
